Itinerary of Florence in a Day tour with private guide
Take the Florence in a Day tour to soak up all the beauty of Florence. The admission tickets to the museums will let you skip the lines and go straight into the Accademia Gallery and the Uffizi. The tour starts with the Accademia. In the morning, a licensed guide will take you to see Michelangelo's David, kept in this small Florentine museum.
The Accademia Gallery is also home to other extremely important Michelangelo works: the Slaves, statues intended for Pope Julius II's tomb. David stands tall in the center of the Tribune that the architect De Fabris designed specifically for him. Our guide will tell you some amazing stories about Michelangelo and the making of this Florentine giant.
After leaving this museum, you'll continue through Florence's streets to Piazza del Duomo, Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, and Palazzo Pitti.
Finally, in the early afternoon, we'll go into Florence's most popular museum of them all: the Uffizi Gallery. Once home to the city, administrative offices, today it holds a great many works famed in the history of art. Giotto, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Titian, Michelangelo, and Caravaggio are just a few of the master artists whose work hangs here.
